This past weekend was filled with a lot of fun and a little work.
On Friday night, we had plans to attend our Community Association’s Oktoberfest but it was rainy and the event was moved indoors so we weren’t sure how much the kids would enjoy it. We gave them the option to meet up with friends at Big Thrill Factory or have a family night and go to Pinz (a bowling alley/arcade), they chose family night. I love how much our kids enjoy spending time together as a family!
So off to Pinz we went! This was Laney’s first time, so she had the bumpers up and this gator thing ( looks like a slide for your bowling ball) to help her out a bit. Looking at the score at the end you’d see I probably needed bumpers too! Ha!

After bowling we let the kids play a few arcade games and then headed home. I worked on Saturday so Jared manned the fort at home.

Grammy took Parker to see the Abominables at the Children’s Theatre while I was at work. It’s a children’s musical about hockey and Parker loved it! Wish I could have been there!
On Sunday morning, it was time to divide and conquer. The girls and I headed to church while the boys went to Parker’s hockey practice. Afterwards, Laney, Camryn and I did some shopping at Home Goods. I need to find some decor to finish off the mudroom project.Aren’t my helpers cute!;)
Here’s where we’re at with the coat hanger project that started it all!

While the girls were shopping, the boys were at church since they missed the earlier service. We all met back up at church later in the afternoon for their 50th Birthday Jubilee! The kids had so much fun! Among other things, there were bounce houses, a cake walk, face paint and even a fire truck. Somewhere along the way Laney lost her shoes. #whyaminotsurprised
That’s a wrap for our weekend recap!
Have a great week everyone!
